In June 2025, BigChefs Tripoli reached 600 reviews on Google. The restaurant opened to the public on 12 April 2023, so the count took just over two years to build. In September 2024 it had stood at 519.

A Turkish brasserie in Hay Al Andalus
BigChefs is a Turkish cafe-brasserie group, founded in Ankara in 2007, with more than 60 restaurants by 2023. Its Tripoli restaurant, the group’s only branch in Libya and the first BigChefs in Africa, launched with a VIP ceremony on 21 March 2023 and opened to the public that April, in the last ten days of Ramadan.
What reaching 600 reviews means
Each of the 600 is a public rating on Google, and nobody is obliged to leave one. A count is not a verdict: it shows how many people rated BigChefs, not what they thought. For that, read the reviews themselves, the critical ones included.
Reviews also matter for search. Google says local results are based mainly on relevance, distance and prominence, that more reviews and positive ratings can help a business’s local ranking, and that there is no way to request or pay for a better one.
And they are feedback. A restaurant can read in its reviews what guests enjoyed and what disappointed them, and answer both.
